Make VSAN your Designated Non-Profit for the Scolari's Friendship Fund

Scolari's Food and Drug Store has just completed a major cleanup of their Friendship Fund files in preparation for restarting the program on September 1, 2009. The process required them to delete all customer preferences in regards to the designated non-profit organization who receives 1% of customers’ purchases.
What you need to do if you would like to designate VSAN as the non-profit recipient?
~ To enroll in Scolari's Club for the first time, download a form or pick up a Friendship Fund form in any store location or at the Lake Mansion and use the non-profit code 2330 for VSAN on the form. Drop off the form at any Scolari’s store.
~ If you are already enrolled and simply need to update your file, you may do so at the scolaristores.com and use the non-profit code 2330 for VSAN

The Scolari’s Friendship Fund is an easy way to support many non-profits in the area including VSA arts of Nevada in providing quality visual and performing arts programs for children and adults of ALL abilities. If you have any questions concerning this program please call VSAN at 826-6100, extension 3 or info@vsanevada.org.

Own a piece of the Mansion
Contact VSAN 826-6100

VSA arts of Nevada is offering for sale architectural elements and other artifacts associated with the historic Lake Mansion.  These are original pieces of the porch rails, balustrades, posts, corner pieces and other decorative pieces. After the porches were removed during the mansion move, a decision was made to replace rather than restore much of the porch.

The decision to sell pieces of the mansion was not made lightly.  VSAN has spent the past ten years working to preserve the mansion in keeping with the principles of Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation.  These national standards are a series of concepts about maintaining, repairing, and replacing materials on historic buildings.  Please be assured that the removal of these items does not damage the mansion’s historical integrity and their sale will help support the ongoing activities of VSAN, including the preservation of the Lake Mansion.

You will receive a certificate noting your contribution and authenticity of your purchase. We hope you enjoy owning a piece of Reno’s history!  Prices start at $25 per piece.
For more information or to purchase a piece of the mansion, call 775-826-6100 or drop by Mon-Fri, 11-3.

Volunteer with VSA arts of Nevada

VSA is very appreciative of the efforts of our enthusiastic volunteers! Would you like to volunteer your time to help us? These are some of our current volunteer needs:

Cleaning - Helping us keep the historic mansion visitor-ready! Definitely one of the most appreciated tasks our volunteers help us with.

Clerical Work - Helping us keep organized! This could range from routine office tasks (making calls, coordinating mail-outs, filing, shredding, data entry, research tasks) to the more physical (re-organizing our art supplies or catering kitchen supplies)

Mansion Host/Tours - Welcoming visitors, giving tours of the historic mansion to adults and children (background information and 'adaptable' script provided)

Events - Staffing events, such as monthly wine walks, which includes light set up for the event, meet and greet, serving our guests, art sales and passing out information about VSA arts' programs.

Technical Support/Consulting - Utilizing any special skills you might have (Website design, Graphic Design, HTML Newsletter/Masthead Design, Technology Consulting, Marketing, Desktop Publishing, Database Management...?)

...or do you have other skills you could offer us?

Please return a volunteer information form to us - thank you!

Please note that at the present time, we are not looking for any hands-on assistance with art workshops. As we typically have many more people interested in helping than we have openings, preference for our (very) occasional opportunities will be given to volunteers who have assisted us already in other areas.
