Christopher l. parkins

Born in beautiful downtown burbank, ca. in 1951.

graduated from chatsworth high school in california in 1969.

in 1972 was diagnosed with schizophrenia and manic depression.

in 1978 received international credentials in hospital materials management.

Graduated in 1980 with an associate in science degree from cabrillo college in aptos, ca.

made nevada state history in 1982 with the article "the history of the astronomical society of nevada".

in 1984 wrote a children's book "our simple solar system". he is currently composing a book for children on the moon.

christopher has several credentials in "Top" sales and achievement awards from several fields of sales, solar power, fine art sculpture, real estate and more.

he is a practicing buddhist and has been for the past few years.

he is also designing "space jewelry", i.e. "christopher's ankh", a mathmatical puzzle from the egyptians.

in addition to his jewelry he frames and designs patterns of coins, dollars and stamps and calls it "money art", for lack of a better name, christopher says.

in his artist statement he states,"(i've) lived in reno since 1976. my goal is to build an astronomical city where the buildings are actually astronomical instruments and my wish for you is a long happy life and good peace-of-mind.
